Idahone Ceramic Stones are used for sharpening knives using KME or Hapstone knife sharpener. The stone has an extremely high hardness rating.
Idahone Ceramic scarcely wears over time. Ceramic stones are available in three grits: medium, fine and ultra-fine. Ultra-fine ceramic stones utilize the top quality 99.5% alumina and provide a super finish for the cutting edge.
Idahone Ceramic stones should be used with oil or WD-40 as a lubricant.
Idahone Ceramic stones do not require any preparations.
Advantages of aluminum blanks
Stones mounted on aluminum blanks are thicker than stock KME stones. We recommend using the thickness compensator if you use stones of different thickness.
