Idahone Ceramic Stones are used for sharpening knives using Hapstone or Edge Pro knife sharpener. The stone has an extremely high hardness rating.
Idahone Ceramic scarcely wears over time. Ceramic stones are available in three grits: medium, fine and ultra-fine. Ultra-fine ceramic stones provide a super finish for the cutting edge.

Idahone Ceramic stones do not have any minor defects.
Idahone Ceramic stones do not require any preparations. It is naturally lapped. This is a big advantage because the difficulty of lapping Ceramic is very high.
We buy ceramic stones directly from Idahone and mount the stones to blanks. However Idahone does not offer ceramic stones in Edge Pro format to purchase online. Idahone does not catalog ultra fine grit because it's specialized product.
Grit terminology is not applicable to ceramic sharpening stones. The behavior of ceramic stone depends on its density and how good it was lapped. Our estimation is F400 for Medium grit, F 800 for Fine grit and F 1200 for Ultra Fine grit.
