Synthetic Aoto sharpening stones are used for fine sharpening knives on Hapstone and Edge Pro knife sharpeners. Synthetic Aoto stones are made of milled Aoto whetstone. Estimated grit for Aoto is approximately 2000-3000 JIS. All Synthetic Aoto are mounted on high quality aluminum blanks.
Aoto (青砥) Whetstone is mined in Kameoka, Kyoto in Japan.
