Description

Dalmore Blue sharpening stones are used for fine sharpening on KME or Hapstone knife sharpeners. Estimated grit for the stone is 4000 JIS. Dalmore Blue stones are mounted on high-quality aluminum blanks.

Dalmore Blue Whetstone was mined in Scotland, in the United Kingdom.

Dalmore Blue is preliminarily lapped and does not require lapping after purchase.Edge Pro Stones Llyn Idwal stones should be used with oil or water as a lubricant. Dalmore Blue stones may have slight natural imperfections, inclusions and other minor defects not affecting the sharpening.

Advantages of aluminum blanks

  • If you accidentally drop the stone, it's less likely you break it;
  • Much longer life span for the stone after multiple flattening and lapping;
  • Easy identification due to laser engraving;
  • Reliable clamping for stones of imperfect shape.

Stones mounted on aluminum blanks are thicker than stock KME stones. We recommend using the thickness compensator if you use stones of different thickness.
