With 4 stones, I was able to put a mirror polish on my ZT 0545 in magnacut, and the 4 inch Leading Edge stone holder is a 100% improvement over the stock KME stone holder.

I've had other Venev stones before, so grabbing this set for my newly purchased Hapstone RS was a no brainer. I highly recommend these diamond water stones, just be sure to reference the handy grit chart on this site when deciding on your progression. These stones leave an effortless shine at the higher grits, and the diamonds cut well.

Great upgrade for kme
Got these to replace the kme gold series stones as mine have worn out over years of use and these venev stones are a great alternative.

A definite upgrade from the KME Gold diamond stones. The 100 and 240 grit stones are great. 400 grit is about as high as I go. The 400 is extremely fine compared to other stones. The 800 is more of a polishing grit in this form. Have found that using edge trailing strokes primarily work best with these stones also. I do use edge leading but only at the end of 240 grit and 400. go very lightly. Strop with a nice 3 micron diamond emulsion and you get a very nice edge. Only thing I wish is that I could afford the Scorpion set and get a wider stone.
For info: I use Krud Kutter diluted with water or Gunny Shines as a lube. You can use a scotch brite pad to clean with and it will refresh the stones also. For lapping I did use some silicon carbide sandpaper on the 100, 240, and 400 grit stones. All you need is a nice flat surface and some water.

these are shit, i bought them for the kme but they are not actually 4", they run 1/8 or so short and wont mount in the stone holder

Oh my sharp!
These stones are great and far better then I expected. Delivery was fast, all items packed well. I've learned quickly. You don't need alot of pressure with the stones. They grind fast especially at the lower grits. Very pleased with my stones.

They work so good, and it made such a huge difference in the results I was getting from my sharpening system. The stones are not as wide as I expected is the only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. All in all, the stones are great and I would definitely buy them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for stones.

Worth It
I’m new to sharpening. I’ve done a handful of knives on the cheap stones my Worksharp came with and THOUGHT it was decent. Two knives with these stones made me realize just how much better they are! If you want absolutely game changing edges in your knives, buy these stones!

I bought it to ship to France. That should tell you how good these stones are. I recommand going for the Phoenix or Dragon if you freehand though !
I use the Cerberus Dog with the Precision Adjust adaptator, or freehand. Excellent results.

Being a total amateur when it comes to sharpening - I'm really happy with this set. For years I've been using some basic sharpeners like Fiskars roll sharp. When I bought my first descent EDC knife I also had stepped up to Lansky turn box deluxe. Then my first premium steel EDCs arrived and I got stuck. Knowing how hard m390 or 20cv is to sharpen I didn't even try Lansky on them. Had some for more than 2 years blunt as they can be. Those stones did an excellent job - although I'm not microscope peeking and some pros would have a laugh probably - knives are razor sharp and look brilliant. I am yet to find out how they will retain sharpness. I bought them based on a YouTube review on the "Canadian Cutting Edge" channel along with a flimsy Ruixin RX-008 Pro (which I can barely recommend – only for those on a very tight budget). Bottom line - I'm super happy with this product.

These aren't cheap, but they are incredibly effective and a pleasure to use. They have transformed the way I sharpen knives on the Work Sharp Precision Adjust.

Nice stones, added a little water and they sharpened knives great.
Only drawback was having to adjust stone to sit properly in 4”hapstone adapter.
