Leading Edge V-Sharpener utilizes two 6" stone holders and fine angle adjusters. The angle range: 5 to 35 degrees. V-sharpener supports Edge Pro form-factor stones as well as flat-end 6" stones.

Attention! Sharpening stones are not included. Don't use strops and lapping films.

You can buy the product pre-assembled or the assembly kit.

Love the versatility of this unit. With my angle cube, I can get to within 1/10 of a degree and use whatever grit I want. Fantastic!!!

Ordering was easy, shipping was fast, it was also well packaged. I got the kit, so put it together myself. Watching the YouTube video made it very easy to assemble. It seems to be well made and should last a long time if used as intended. I only have two criticisms, one minor and one a little more of a concern but not a deal breaker by any means as it's very easy to address by the user. First one is very minor, but it seems I was shipped two of the same angle gauges. This means that they don't orient with the numbers facing inwards and downwards (one is opposite of the other one) as described in the video and as pictured on the sales page. Again, it's no big deal as the angle adjustments line up with each other just fine. Second one is a little bit more of a concern. The base has a slight "crown" in it. This means it does not sit flat, it arches upwards in the middle. If you push down in the middle of the base to flatten it the angles will be correct and match the angle guides (as verified with an electric angle block). If you just hold it on an end, the angle will not match the angle guides (also verified with an electric angle block). I use a clamp to secure the middle of the base to the table which flattens the base and fixes this situation. Again, do not let this be a deal breaker for you if you're thinking of getting one. In use, it's easy to assemble (as the kit), easy to setup, uses my EdgePro stones perfectly and it sharpens my knives fine. If you already have the EdgePo stones (or ANY 6 inch stones as it does NOT require EdgePro type mounted stones) the price to try it is pretty reasonable. Even if you need to get a couple cheap stones to try out, it's still with the price .... at least in my opinion it is.

Functionally, this thing is great. The angles are spot on and I can sharpen just as precisely with this as I do with a fixed angle system. I actually prefer to use this just because it is a bit more zen and I do a better job with the tips with this than with a fixed angle system because you can point the tip down as you get near the end and always keep a perfect angle on the curved part and not slip the tip off the stone. Since it's plastic you can get it wet when spraying the stones and rinse it in the sink.
