Spyderco Ceramic stones do not have any minor defects.
Spyderco Ceramic stones do not require any preparations. It is naturally lapped. This is a big advantage because the difficulty of lapping Ceramic is very high.
Many end products are made by Gritomatic. We buy Spyderco ceramic stones from international distributors, perform the cutting, flattening and lapping, and mount the stones to blanks. We keep the names of the original sharpening stones in the names of the finished products, as well as the countries of origin of these stones.
We don't sell sharpening stones without blanks.
Grit terminology is not applicable to ceramic sharpening stones. The behavior of ceramic stone depends on its density and how good it was lapped. Our estimation is F 600 for Medium grit and F 1000 for Fine grit.
