GearConnect is the family of clamp adapters to build "cross-platform" sharpening systems. An adapter connects the clamp bar of a host (TSPROF K03 or Kadet) to a clamp designed for another sharpening system. Adapters consist of 3D printed parts made of hard PLA plastic and steel bolts for maximum rigidity.

When multiple clamps are used together, it’s very important to have the same length. Clamps made by different manufacturers vary in length, but GearConnect solves the problem. GearConnect adapters extend attached clamps to one of two predefined lengths that we call "profiles".

• K03 Profile (long) = all clamps will have the length of long K03 Clamps. 
• Kadet Profile (short) = all clamps will have the length of short Kadet clamps.

GearConnect Extension for Kadet extends short Kadet clamps to the length of long K03 clamps. Owners of Kadet can buy any clamps and GearConnect-adapters designed for TSPROF K03. A pair of Extension adapters are required to use Kadet clamps and K03 clamps at the same time.
