Venev Celectial Family

Venev 6" x 1" Centaur Series Dual Side Diamond Set

Version (Diamond Concentration)
diamond concentration is better for toothy edge and high performance,
diamond concentration is better for polish and scratch removal.

Attention! We recommend finishing with the OCB 1200 diamond. OCB 2000 is an experimental product of Venev in all form-factors. Additional lapping is strongly recommended for OCB 2000 to improve the sharpening result, otherwise, it will perform coarser than OCB 1200. Use loose silicon carbide powder of progression F120 -> F400 -> F2000.

Venev Dual Side Diamonds are used for sharpening knives on Hapstone and TSProf knife sharpeners. Diamond sharpening stones offer excellent performance in sharpening knives of any steel.

Centaur Series diamonds consist of two 1 mm-thick diamond-bearing layers on the aluminum plate. The diamond-bearing layers contain evenly distributed diamond grains with organic bonding. The manufacture of bonded diamonds is more complex than for coated diamonds. Bonded diamonds give the sharpening stone a much longer lifespan.

The set includes 3 dual-side diamonds of 6 grits total.

How to use

Venev Diamonds are recommended to be used with water as a lubricant for the best feedback. The diamond does not absorb water. Splash water on the stone's surface. Dry usage is an acceptable practice, although it results in faster wearing and speeds up stone loading.

Venev Diamonds may have the flatness tolerance up to 0.2 mm. Additional flattening and lapping can be performed by a customer to improve sharpening quality. We recommend using loose silicon carbide powder. Using a diamond lapping plate is not recommended.
